Integration
AndOr is built on Shopify’s own building blocks. It adds no new checkout, no new storefront and no code you have to maintain.
Built on Shopify
- Checkout: discounts and checkout rules run inside Shopify checkout, through Shopify Functions. That is the same way Shopify’s own discounts run.
- Storefront: widgets are theme app blocks and one app embed. You place them in the theme editor. No theme code edits are needed.
- Billing: charges appear on your Shopify bill.
See What AndOr does.
Your theme
- Horizon and Dawn work out of the box, cart drawer included.
- Other Online Store 2.0 themes work wherever a section accepts app blocks. Where it doesn’t, paste a one-line tag.
- Vintage themes get the app embed and one-line tags, not blocks, and no cart drawer parts. See Vintage themes.
- The cart drawer parts need a theme that sends Shopify’s storefront cart events. See Theme requirements.

Your own code
Theme developers and agencies can build on AndOr’s widgets:
- Events when a widget changes, such as a new tier or a reached goal.
- Data attributes that describe each widget’s state.
- Styling tokens you can override.
- A small JavaScript API, and product card recipes.
See Theme developers.
Your admin tools
- Sidekick: ask Shopify’s assistant to find, explain or draft checkout and discount rules. See Sidekick.
- Import and export: copy rules to another store, back them up or share a setup with your team. See Import and export.
- Discounts you already have: widgets can show discounts you made in Shopify. See Show discounts you already have.
